The Grand Piano

I think anybody concerned about poetry, or even literature in general, should get all ten volumes of The Grand Piano (seven volumes are published so far). L.A.N.G.U.A.G.E poetry has changed the way writers interact with words and sounds as elements of language in many levels. And this autobiographical account of Rae Armantrout, Steve Benson, Carla Harryman, Lyn Hejinian, Tom Mandel, Ted Pearson, Bob Perelman, Kit Robinson, Ron Silliman, and Barrett Watten is possibly the most casual (optimal) way to get into the creation process of great works these poets created later on. This is by all means necessary.

Fujiya and Miyagi and Lena Zavaroni

"Knickerbocker" is definitely one of the top singles of this year, as is Fujiya and Miyagi's latest album, "Lightbulbs".

The way they deconstruct sounds and images in their video is highly entertaining. And don't forget that Lena Zavaroni is never that far from Hans Christian Andersen, at least in a conceptual way.

What did Picasso do?

Probably the best site to see everything Picasso ever did.

In his book Éloge de l'Infini, the French writer Philippe Sollers calls Picasso the creative hero of the 20th century! I happen to agree but you be the judge for yourself...

Thomas Pynchon

Well let's have this for a start.

The new Thomas Pynchon book is going to be out sometime (hopefully) soon. With a "noir detective" theme, it sounds promising.
